WELCOME TO THE NORMAN GROUP (PTY)LTD

The Norman link to an historical South African Business Footprint reaches back to the founding of three well-known companies on the South African playing field.  It commenced with Wayne Norman's grandfather Sigurd Norman who owned and built Norman’s Confectionary & Sweets Factory in Observatory in the 1940’s.

The second generation of the Norman Family were part of the founders of Orbit Motors, Mercedes-Benz Dealership in 1958 - now known to us as Sandown Motors.  

 

The footprint continues with the opening of Norman’s Transport Lines under The founders Kenneth & Cecil Norman in 1959. This legendary Operation grew to 13 Depots nationwide and a total fleet of 500 trucks, and boasted the exclusive Consolidated Glassworks Contract from inception - and was sold with the Company.      

 

Norman's Transport Lines was bought out by The Imperial Group in 1992.  At that stage it was the Largest privately-owned Transport Company in the country.

Wayne Norman continues this Family Legacy, and that of his organization namely, THE NORMAN GROUP OF COMPANIES  into the third generation in South Africa.
